Quaker Meeting House Yard

Although this site is relatively small, a number of stones required major cleaning Thanks to a working party organised by the Quaker church the stones have now been cleaned. The work has now been completed as far as possible until drier weather. 11 stones require pencil rubbing (or partial) to lift off what inscription remains but are currently far too wet to do so. 1 stone (a slate stone) is it completely eroded. Unfortunately the stones have been moved from their original positions to the outside edges of the yard so no longer represent the resting place of those mentioned on them. A plan of the yard may be made available at a later date.

1. The Stone references numbers do not bare any relation to plot numbers or positioning, they are purely a numbering system i used when recording the stones.
2. The months are always featured in numbers and often appear first in the dates. e.g 6th Month 27th. This is as it appeared on the stones.
